Rediscovered

I have learned to grow completely and wholeheartedly affectionate toward Tucson. Once upon a time, I thought it was just a simple town with "nothing to do." I am sure glad I grew up enough to realize the beauty it beholds, the adventure hiding throughout, and the downtown hub that is flourishing before I buy a ticket and scoot out South for a bit. That is just the thing, though; there is beauty and adventure oozing out of Tucson's city limits, you just have to go out and find it, and have a bit of an open mind. One post on the topic will not do Tucson any justice, but I had to tie these all together. This post should be Reason 02, 03, and 04 separately, but I could not help myself. Tonight I was lucky enough to grasp a new perspective of the streets I have walked hundreds of times in downtown Tucson. This included going to a new coffee shop {totally hipster}, walking down bridges and different ins and outs of buildings that I have walked passed countless times but never walked through, and all the while admiring the curiosity of people, the pulse of businessmen getting off work and heading home, and enjoying a slow stroll as the sun was setting on the historical copper tainted buildings towering over the cyclists preparing for the El Tour de Tucson. Not only was the sunset astonishing, but when it is contrasted amidst a busy, simmering body it just is the most satisfying thing. Not only are you at peace with the setting sun and water color colors dancing on the window-paned buildings, but you are all the while caught up with the heartbeat of the tangible world around you. It is the most beautiful thing.

— Written in 2014. There has been growth, but my sentiments toward Tucson still echo the same.
